Spiked Dog Collar
If you have a pitbull or an English bulldog, a spiked dog collar would look nice on them.
No, it may not look as cute as the dog "Spike" in the show Tom & Jerry, but such collars will make your dog
look more impressive.
So what are the reasons and purposes of having these dog collars? Well, there are people who gives reasons
like:
- The owners want their dogs to look cool and impressive
- The owners want to protect their dogs from other dangers
- Etc.
To me, there are a few reasons why they have the spikes on the collar.
To help the owner to deter any possible dangers
Imagine an English Bulldog with an impressive spike collar, wouldn't that make any human tremble with fear? It
will definitely deter any possible intrusion of your home. Usually, I would recommend that dogs with spiked collars
should not go out to the streets.
If you want to bring them out, do not let them wear the spiked collars unless the collars are designer
collars.
As a fashion design
You will be surprised that dog owners uses spikes as part of the collar design. These spikes are usually blunt
and small so that they will not hurt anyone.
There are many nice designer spiked dog collars around, I even saw a PINK one on the street!
Things to watch out for
Spiked dog collars are usually quite thick in their width. That is normal because they need the space to put the
rolls of spikes. As such, most spiked collars are at least 1½ inches thick. The width is just too wide for your
dogs so I advice that you do not let your dogs wear these spikes for too long.
Do not buy collars with very long spikes. Yes, I know it will look impressive as the spikes are sticking out of
their neck. However, your dog will find itself unable to rest as their head will not be able to touch the ground.
Take note.
Lastly, do not let it enter your house as the spikes may cause damage on your expensive sofa or furnitures.
